Buying or renewing a home? Start with the mortgage payment or renewal calculator. For a purchase, estimate the down payment and insurance separately, then use the closing-cost calculator for transfer tax, registry fees and the cash still needed after your deposit. The payment tool does not calculate approval.

For savings, use compound interest to explore a balance over time, or a savings goal to work backward from a target. For debt, test a fixed credit-card payment. The RRSP versus TFSA tool compares equal-cost tax scenarios and assumes sufficient contribution room.

Each tool includes its assumptions, a worked example and relevant official sources. Results use your entered rates rather than live quotes. Read the supporting guides or check our calculation standards.
